We're Back!
The Four Muses was founded by Jim and Mary Jenkins as a music store and performance venue in 1965 in San Clemente, Ca. Although the business was forced to close in 1975 due to the untimely death of Jim Jenkins, amazingly, The Four Muses passionate community of artists that performed at the club has continued to unite on a Facebook page created by their middle son, Jonathan Morgan Jenkins.
The Four Muses Reopens
2020 is the year that The Four Muses will continue its original vision created in the amazing 60’s and release “The 4Muses Live”, a series of concerts. Since 1965, The Four Muses Caberet-Theatre, “the living room concert hall”, has created performance and educational opportunities for musicians and artists. This enthusiastic and dedicated community of artists still exists today in a Facebook group called The Four Muses.
The Four Muses Vision
Just like the vision of the original Four Muses, we want to produce great entertainment for our members and also, very important, provide an open venue where aspiring entertainers can mature artistically and connect with other entertainers. Please help us and join our Four Muses community.
The Four Muses Beginnings
The location of the concert production set was in a comfortable home setting, the living room of the founders, Jim and Mary Jenkins. This is also where Mary was teaching Guitar lessons to the kids in San Clemente. Soon there was no more room in the house and The Four Muses music store and concert venue was opened downtown.
The Four Muses Original Headline Talent
With the explosion of new talent in the 60’s and a need for his mother’s students to have a venue to perform their newly polished talents, the folk/rock club THE FOUR MUSES was born. Built in the same building as the music store, the Muses quickly developed as a popular venue for local talent. It was the only music concert venue in town.

At our December 10th show, we supported our first Animal Rescue Charity, Promise 4 Paws.
